I love sharing recipes with people who are looking to eat healthier, incorporate more natural and plant-based foods in their diet, but who also want to take the stress out of healthy eating.
Ingredients
For the Donuts:
- 2 cups Flour
- ½ cup Florida Crystals® Regenerative Organic Raw Cane Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- ½ tsp Baking soda
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 1/3 cups Coconut Milk
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- ¼ cup Coconut oil, melted
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup Florida Crystals® Regenerative Organic Powdered Sugar
- 2 tbsp Coconut milk
- 2 cups Shredded coconut
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400F and spray a donut pan with cooking spray.
Step 2
Mix all the dry donut ingredients together in a bowl. Set aside.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet donut ingredients until incorporated.
Step 4
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until combined. Do not overmix.
Step 5
Spoon the donut mixture into a piping bag.
Step 6
Pipe the batter into the pan filling 3/4 of the way full.
Step 7
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Step 8
To make the glaze, mix Florida Crystals® Regenerative Organic Powdered Sugar and coconut milk together in a bowl. The mixture should be smooth and silky, but not too thin. (If yours is very thin, simply add a bit more sugar).
Step 9
Once the donuts are cooled, dip them in the glaze and then immediately dip them in a plate of shredded coconut.
Step 10
Let sit for 30 minutes for the glaze to set.
