Remy also known as Veggiekins is a vegan and gluten free recipe developer with a passion for health and wellness. Outside of the kitchen, she is a certified yoga instructor, cat lover and farmer's market fanatic.
Ingredients
For Doughnuts
- 1/2 cup Vegan yogurt
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Plant milk (not coconut milk)
- 1/2 cup Florida Crystals® Regenerative Organic Raw Cane Sugar
- 1 1/4 cup Oat flour
- 1/4 cup Almond flour
- 1/4 cup Tapioca starch
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
For Dusting
- 1/2 cup Florida Crystals® Regenerative Organic Raw Cane Sugar
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F while you prepare ingredients. Grease a doughnut pan with a light spray of oil.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, whisk vegan yogurt, vanilla extract and plant milk together. Add Florida Crystals® Regenerative Organic Raw Cane Sugar and whisk again.
Step 3
Sift in oat flour, almond flour, tapioca starch, baking powder, baking soda, salt and use a spatula to stir until a batter forms.
Step 4
Transfer batter into a piping bag and pipe into the doughnut pan.
Step 5
Bake for 10 minutes at 350°F. Gently remove from pan and let cool.
Step 6
For the sugar coating, whisk together Florida Crystals® Regenerative Organic Raw Cane Sugar and cinnamon. Spritz doughnuts with oil or lightly dip in dairy-free butter then into the sugar mixture.
